SUMMARY:Keeping the heat on in times of crisis - REPLACE Project - Final Conference - hybrid
DESCRIPTION:On 21st March 2023\, from 10.00 CET\, in Brussels and online\, the REPLACE project will hold its Final Conference and present and discuss with an international audience how heating and cooling for European consumers can and shall be made efficient\, economically ressilient\, clean and climate-friendly. \nWhere: \nBIP MEETING CENTER\, Rue Royale 2-4\, 1000 Brussels\, Belgium\, AND online \nWhat to expect: \nSpeakers from different countries\, organisations\, and from the European Commission will share their views on the best way to facilitate sustainable heating & cooling in Europe.\nAmong the speakers are representatives from the Estonian Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications (formerly Policy Assistant at European Commission)\, the association Bioenergy Europe\, the European Heat Pump Association\, Euro Heat & Power\, and speakers from the REPLACE consortium\, who will share the results of the last years. \nAgenda: \nDownload here. \nRegistration: \nPlease register here for the event in Brussels and here for the online event. \nAbout: \nHalf of Europe’s energy consumption is used for heating or cooling. However\, in 2019\, 58 % of the 105.7 million space heaters installed in EU-27 (that were > 61 million units) have been inefficient non-condensing oil and gas boilers. In order to achieve climate neutrality\, the decarbonisation of the space heating and cooling in residential sector is therefore essential. \nThe REPLACE project partners are pleased to invite you to the final hybrid event (live and virtual) “Keeping the heat on in times of crisis – How to REPLACE inefficient fossil heating systems” to present the key findings of the project and discuss the framework conditions for replacement\, exchanging old conventional fossil fuel systems with renewable ones. \nThis free-of-charge event is an excellent opportunity to learn how the phase-out of fossil-based heating systems can be brought forward in the European agenda and to find out more about modern renewable technologies. \n  \nYours \nTeam REPLACE \n  \n\nFunding\nThis project receives funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 847087. \n \n\nLegal disclaimer\nAny communication activity related to the action reflects only the author’s view.
