DESCRIPTION:RHC-ETIP (the European Technology and Innovation Platform on Renewable Heating and Cooling) invites to the annual conference “Towards 100% renewable energy-based heating and cooling in Europe: A secure energy supply in times of crisis”. \nThe conference will be held on the 25th of May in Torino\, Italy. It will feature political and technical panel discussions\, presentations on different renewable and heating technologies\, and the Italian national roundtable. The national roundtable discussion\, to be held in the afternoon\, will offer a closer look at the country’s perspective on RHC. \nAdditionally\, the 2023 edition of the International Euroheat & Power Congress\, which will take place on the 23rd and 24th of May in Torino\, will look into the most promising pathways for District Heating & Cooling to play its part in solving the global energy & climate crisis. DESCRIPTION:On 21st March 2023\, from 10.00 CET\, in Brussels and online\, the REPLACE project will hold its Final Conference and present and discuss with an international audience how heating and cooling for European consumers can and shall be made efficient\, economically ressilient\, clean and climate-friendly. \nWhere: \nBIP MEETING CENTER\, Rue Royale 2-4\, 1000 Brussels\, Belgium\, AND online \nWhat to expect: \nSpeakers from different countries\, organisations\, and from the European Commission will share their views on the best way to facilitate sustainable heating & cooling in Europe.\nAmong the speakers are representatives from the Estonian Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications (formerly Policy Assistant at European Commission)\, the association Bioenergy Europe\, the European Heat Pump Association\, Euro Heat & Power\, and speakers from the REPLACE consortium\, who will share the results of the last years. \nAgenda: \nDownload here. \nRegistration: \nPlease register here for the event in Brussels and here for the online event. \nAbout: \nHalf of Europe’s energy consumption is used for heating or cooling. However\, in 2019\, 58 % of the 105.7 million space heaters installed in EU-27 (that were > 61 million units) have been inefficient non-condensing oil and gas boilers.
