The Austrian Energy Agency (AEA) is currently in the intensive preparation of the All-round Carefree Package (ACRP) for oil and gas boiler replacements for the target region of Salzburg. In recent months, there has been an intensive exchange with the energy department of the province of Salzburg and the Ministry for Climate Protection, which has enabled the AEA to clarify the framework conditions and also to set up the financing for this new offer.
The ACRP will be based on a web platform that will enable households to find ACRP providers in the form of a one-stop shop. The ACRP suppliers will organise all services necessary for a boiler replacement for them and thus make it easier and more attractive for households to switch to renewable heating systems. Through a number of interviews, bilateral exchanges and a workshop held in spring as part of the Local Working
Group, the AEA was also able to recruit more than 15 providers (boiler manufacturers, wholesalers, installers) who would like to offer the ACRP.
The platform is expected to go online in March 2022. As soon as this has happened, the AEA plans to hold information evenings for municipalities at which the All-round Carefree Package will be presented. AEA has already been in contact with climate and energy model region managers and the e5 programme for energy-efficient municipalities (EEA programme in Austria) and presented the concept of the ACRP to them, and there is great interest in this offer.
